Become a Registered Member of the LJSA

Important:  Our procedures for becoming a Registered Member and for voting have changed with the 2021 Bylaws Update.

To become a Registered Member, you now must register at least 60 days before the Annual Election and have attended a previous meeting.  Once you register, if your qualification information hasn’t changed and you attend a meeting at least once a year, you do not have to re-register again.

In order to vote in the annual Board elections or to run for a Board position, you must be a Registered Member with a current Registration Form on file, and have attended at least one meeting in the past year.  You must register 60 days before the Annual Election.

People who are Members of the Association and are eligible to register and vote are:

Any individual at least 18 years of age and affiliated with the La Jolla Shores
community either as a:

(a) Property owner, who is an individual identified as the sole or partial owner of
record or a designee of that owner, of real property (either developed or
undeveloped), within the La Jolla Shores Planned District boundaries, or

(b) Resident, who is an individual whose primary address of residence is an
address within the La Jolla Shores Planned District boundaries, or

(c) Local businessperson, who is a local business owner, or a single designee of
that owner, of a business at a non-residential real property address within the La
Jolla Shores Planned District boundaries,

Then fill in, print, and scan (or take a picture) and email to ljsa.org@gmail.com, or mail to: LJSA, PO Box 64, La Jolla, CA 92038 at least 60 days before the Annual Election.  (Note: the form can not be electronically submitted on the website at this time – it must be downloaded).
