Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Association shall be to provide a community forum for matters affecting the La Jolla Shores Planned District, and to advise the San Diego City Council, Park and Recreation Department, and other governmental agencies to serve the interest of individual property owners and residents through unified action in cooperation with their neighbors in the residential and business areas of La Jolla Shores.

Goals:
The LJSA Board adopted the following goals for 2025. The priority action is to be vigorous advocates for enforcement of municipal codes and regulations within the La Jolla Shores boundaries, particularly at La Jolla Shores parks and beaches.
Monitor Major Projects
- Undergrounding project
- Improved signage for all ordinances
- Streetlight replacement project
- Road repairs (pot holes, stop signs, crosswalks, striping)
Maintenance and Community Education
- Beach fires ordinance
- Clean restrooms
- Lights and camera on the south Comfort Station facing The Map
- Vending ordinance
Environmental Enhancement
- Broaden tree canopy throughout the area
- Increase landscaping in the Shores parks
- Expand beautification and maintenance of “The Throat”
